Bite-sized treats your pet loves (or a toy for a healthier option)
Clicker (optional for clicker training)
Quiet space without distractions
Leash (for some commands)
A calm, patient attitude š
Goal: Teach your pet to come to you when calledāgreat for safety and bonding.
Steps:
Start indoors or in a safe, enclosed space. Attach a leash or long lead if needed.
Crouch down or get low to appear inviting.
Say your petās name followed by āCome!ā in a happy, excited tone.
Gently guide them if they hesitate, or back away to encourage movement.
When they arrive, reward immediately with treats, praise, and affection.
Practice with increasing distance and mild distractions.
ā Tip: Never call your pet to punish themākeep "come" positive only.
Training Tips:
Short sessions (5ā10 minutes max) keep it fun and prevent boredom.
Practice 3ā5 times per day with breaks in between.
